The shipwreck of the vessel “Mytilene”
It is located northwest of Kypsa Bay, on the Kassandra peninsula. “Mytilene”, an old German motor ship, was built in 1941 and operated the Thessaloniki–Mytilene route, transporting essential goods such as olive oil, cereals, and wine. The “Mytilene” sank in 1961 after hitting a reef during a strong storm.
Koursaros Bay
If you are in Kassandra, Koursaros Bay in Paliouri can be a very worthwhile choice for diving. The depth reaches 33 meters, and the seabed is of rare beauty.
